Earth Day Remanufactured Ink and Toner

Go green on Earth Day with remanufactured ink and toner

Go green on Earth Day with remanufactured ink and toner

The 40th Earth Day is here! As you should already know this is a day to increase the environment awareness of the general public, and one of the themes is reducing our consumption of natural resources, by means of reusing and recycling. And that theme fits perfectly with our remanufactured ink cartridges.

Here at 123inkcartridges.ca, we have a wide selection of remanufactured ink and toner cartridges. The remanufactured ink cartridges are refilled by a third party manufacturer, so the cartridge is reused with new ink. This cuts down on the cost of the cartridges and prolong their used time. Remanufactured cartridge fits 3 of 5 R’s of Earth Day: recycle, reuse, and reduce. So buy a few Earth Day remanufactured ink cartridges this april 22nd.

And if you want to reduce your consumption even more, you can just buy the Universal Refill kit from 123inkcartridges.ca and refill your cartridges yourself. Then you’ll even reuse the empty cartridges you have in hand!

This Earth Day, April 22nd, 123inkcartridges.ca would make an effort for you to go green with your ink.

Genaral Trouble shooting of Refill kits.

Have problem with your cartridges after refilling? We 123inkcartridges.ca are providing you a general trouble shooting for your Refill kits.

What should I do if the printer does not print after refilling the cartridge?
1.    Step 1: Run the print-head cleaning mechanism (described in your inkjet printer’s manual) and attempt to
print a few pages.
2.    Step 2: If this procedure does not work, using the syringe supplied in your refill kit, inject air into the
top air vent to clean the nozzles. A small amount of ink should be emitted from the nozzles upon injection. (The nozzle is the porous metal piece at the bottom of the cartridge)
3.    Step 3: If this procedure does not work your print-head nozzles are probably blocked with dried ink. At
this point use the syringe to take out as much ink as possible from your cartridge and read on to the next section.
What should I do if my print quality is poor after refilling?
Just follow these 4 simple steps:
1.    Step 1: Using a soft tissue or cotton swab clean any ink from the nozzles.
2.    Step 2: Reinstall the cartridge, run the print-head cleaning mechanism (described in your printer’s manual)
and attempt to print again.
3.    Step 3: Poor print quality may also be a sign of overfilling your inkjet cartridge. If this is the case,
use the syringe to take out the extra ink and attempt to print again.
4.    Step 4: If it still does not print properly, you might have some air left in your cartridge. Using the
syringe, take the air from your cartridge, run the print-head cleaning mechanism (described in your printer’s
manual) and attempt to print again.
What should I do if the printer will not recognize the cartridge after refilling?
1    Turn on the printer and remove both cartridges
2    Place both cartridges in front of you so that you can see the contact foil, with the nozzles facing
downwards
3    With adhesive tape, cover the FOUR upper contact points on the far left contact column of both cartridges
4    Reinsert the two cartridges and close the cover
5    Open the cover again after 2 or 3 seconds
6    Wait until the printer gives you the cartridge carriage (If there seems to be a problem with either of the
cartridges, ignore it)
7    Open the cover and remove the two cartridges
8    Place both cartridges in front of you so that you can see the contact foil, with the nozzles facing
downwards
9    Remove the adhesive tape
10    Clean the contacts, reinsert the cartridges and close the cover.

How to Refill Cartridges with Universal Refill Kit

Recently, we received our customers’ questions like ‘How to refill my cartridges with the universal refill kit?’ and ‘To buy a new compatible cartridges or to refill cartridges by myself, which way is more economical?’

Yes, it is convenience and economical to buy compatible cartridges from us, but if you follow this how-to guide and refill cartridges by yourself, you not only save money but also protect the environment.

  1. Purchase an ink refill kit from us at 123InkCartridges.ca.
  2. Gather your kit, a roll of paper towels, and some clear scotch tape together on a large flat working surface, a table or desk.
  3. Remove the empty cartridge from your printer.
  4. Cover your hands with a pair of disposable plastic gloves while you work with the messy ink.
  5. Take a paper towel and fold it in half twice. Work over the paper towel to catch any leaking ink.
  6. Place the empty cartridge on it.
  7. Read the instruction manual included with the refill kit to learn how to refill your particular type of cartridge. The following instructions are just a general guide, there is a specific instruction for different type of cartridges inside the box.
  8. Locate the fill holes on the top of the cartridge. The depressions can be felt by rubbing your finger across the label.
  9. Use a sharp pencil to pierce the refill holes in the top of the ink cartridge. (Correct places can also be found in the kit instructions).
  10. In addition to black, there are three colors of ink: cyan, magenta and yellow. Follow the kit instructions on which hole to insert each color OR push a toothpick into the holes to identify the colors as markings on the printer cartridge are sometimes there to fool you into putting the wrong colors into the cartridge ink chambers.
  11. Insert the long needle on the refill ink bottle into the correct hole.
  12. Slowly, add the ink. Carefully watch to be sure that you do not overfill.
  13. Stop quickly as soon as you see a bit of ink oozing out of the hole. Without letting go of the bottle, slowly release the air, sucking a little ink back out of the ink cartridge, before you remove the needle completely.
  14. Carefully daub the cartridge contacts on the paper towel, you should see a splotch of the ink leaking out onto the paper towel.
  15. Cover the hole with a small piece of clear scotch tape. Make sure that no ink is leaking out of the top holes. Be careful not to cross contaminate the colors.
  16. Repeat steps 11-15 for each ink color.
  17. After you have refilled all three colors, carefully blot (don’t wipe or rub) the cartridge printer head on a folded piece of paper towel. You may need to do this several times. Do this until it stops bleeding and you see an even stripe of three colors showing up on the towel.
  18. If the blot shows the colors either faded or not at all, blot on wet paper towel and again on dry, to get the ink flowing.
  19. Replace the ink cartridge into the printer. Never, ever install a leaking print cartridge.
  20. Immediately print something, anything, just to get the ink flowing. Print several test pages, preferable photos with a lot of different colors.
  21. Follow the cleaning or priming cycles for your specific printer.
