A couple of days ago, my friend asked for my opinion about whether it’s good or not for having a Macbook. My thought is that If you’re a not a fan of Apple products and you happen to need an ostensibly professional thin-and-light laptop,  then you could get one decisively without hesitation. Why am I saying this? After WWDC 2012 kicking off and showing off its series of new Apple product to audience, I’m pretty much sure of that the all new 15-inch MacBook Pro gonna be the best Mac ever on the market.

The strategy’s that once you own one Mac in hand, you should hold back your impulsion for pursuing the latest version, as we all know that Apple’s renewing and renovating speed will always surely surpass your money-earning tempo…   As long as it still works, there’s no need to thirst for fresh one.

Generally an Apple product could basically guarantees for smoothly using for around 3 to 5 years, it could still even function better than its similar kind.  If it unfortunelly breaks down, change it immediately, you will never lose.  I hardly heard of complaining about shouldn’t buy but only regretting of not taking high configuration one.

Well, well, well, after this whole long-winded part, let’s get down to our business and find out what on earth the compelling charm it has to let you must pick it?

Hardware

At first glance, it’s really a mince guy without even a touch. It’s only 0.71-inches (1.8cm) thick, which’s a favourable compare to its predecessor and it’s very nearly as thin as the Air (0.03-inch thicker than MacBook Air) If you’re coming from the old Pro or other type of laptop users, carrying this new fellow around feels like a refreshing reduction in curb weight while the performance runs still perfectly which makes it a really compelling alternative.

The reason helps this new model being thin is the omission of ROM support and makes a SD slot, full-size HDMI port and the first USB 3.0 port  located on the right side. And on the left side is the other USB 3.0 port along with dual Thunderbolt ports, a head phone jack and the new Magsafe 2 connector. The MacBook Pro offers 10 times the I/O bandwidth for external devices by upgrading from the USB 2.0 standard to 3.0.  The Thunderbolt protocol now offers 10Gbps transfer rate. How great it is? Thunderbolt can transfer a full-length, high-definition movie in less than 30 seconds! And about the new connector, it’s no longer the same as the old one. It is a few millimeters shorter than the old one and a few millimeters wider; all those scratched-up, white, plastic power bricks you’ve accumulated over the years won’t work here. There’s some really true progress of it but we yet not see the redesign protocol right now.

Display

“Absolutely Gorgeous” is the word to describe the Retina display tech using in the new MacBook Pro. If you have the opportunity to compare the new iPad to the old iPad, you’ll see the kind of leap forward I’m talking about here. With 2200ppi and 2880*1900 resolutions, test is incredibly sharp and clear, 1080 video is amazing and images looks great. But it isn’t just resolution; contrast seems greater and viewing angles too.

Battery life

Based on the standard rundown test, which involves looping a video with WiFi on and the display set at a fixed brightness; it shows an impressive seven hours and 49 minutes on the 2.6GHz model.

Software

We know that the all new MacBook Pro is running Mountain Lion, A brand new upgraded operating system support for the Retina display which perhaps transitioning to something with an even stronger iOS influence.

Configuration options

A. For $2,199 version, you will get a 2.3GHz quad-core Core i7 processor (Ivy Bridge processors), 8GB of RAM, a 256GB solid-state drive, seven-hour battery and dual graphics — Intel’s integrated HD 4000 and NVIDIA’s Kepler-based GeForce GT650M, paired with 1GB of video memory. Of course, the three-year Apple Care Warranty is sold separately, for $349.

B. For $2,799 vesion (Highest-tier model) , you will get  a 2.6GHz quad-core Core i7 processor(Ivy Bridge processors) , , 8GB of RAM, and doubles the storage capacity to 512GB. You can upgrade further to a 2.7GHz CPU for $250 or select 16GB of RAM, to the tune of $200. You can also max out with a 768GB SSD, provided you’re willing to part with an additional $500. For those keeping track at home, that brings the outside cost to $4,098, the extended warranty included

To sum up, if you feel paralyzed by choosing a new laptop which you wish it has a screen with high definition, top-notch build quality and a pinch-thin frame, I assure you that the new Macbook Pro must be the strong road warrior stands poised to kill the others. If you can afford the premium and aren’t set on a 13-inch model there’s no reason to buy any Pro other than this Pro.
