Epson Ink Printer Check Manufacture Date

Epson inkjet printers such as Epson stylus cx5000, Epson stylus cx8400 or Epson stylus photo rx595, these Epson ink printers use ink cartridges T069 series or T078 series.

To prevent third-party generic compatible inkjet cartridges T069 series or T078 series, since March 2007, Epson changed the reading ink chips inside these inkjet printers and forced most of third-party generic ink cartridges NOT COMPATIBLE. So our T069 series or T078 series compatible ink cartridges may not be compatible with these printers made after March 2007. This is our fault not to mention this on our website catalog before, therefore we got some quality complains, returns and refund.

We are apologizing to our old customers who have purchased these T069 series or T078 series compatible ink cartridges from us, 123 Ink Cartridges Canada. Sorry to bring you inconveniences.

How to check the manufacture date of your Epson inkjet printer:

  • Turn the printer upside down and look for 4 little dials.
  • They resemble clocks, imprinted in the plastic casing.
  • The clocks show the year, month and day of manufacture.
  • For example: “6 0 9 07″, which I read as, “6th Sept 07″.

    Now we have OEM T069 & T078 series ink cartridges for sale, but no new compatible T069 & T078 ink cartridges.

    Once we have the new compatible T069& T078 series ink cartridge for sale, we will update our website and notify you ASAP.

    I have an Epson R280 manufactured after March 2007. I would like to buy generic. Have your generic replacements got around the incompatability that Epson built into its OEM cartridges??
